Andrea & Rex | Roommates Ever After

Andrea & Rex | Roommates Ever After

Yes, they met as roommates. And somehow I didn’t find this out until the middle of their ceremony! They are such fun folks with so much going on that that little deet never came up! I still kinda can’t get over it.

Fun really was the word of the day. I don’t think I have a single shot of them together in which they’re not making each other laugh at some point. This wedding, more than most, just felt like a day of hanging out with a bunch of new friends while making a little film together.

The people surrounding Andrea and Rex are amazing and full of love. And there’s not a more beautiful room for a wedding ceremony in all of New Jersey. Wouldn’t have changed a think if I could.

Did I mention they were roommates when they met?!

Miss ya guys!

Danielle & Andrew | Stalking the Perfect Sunset

Danielle & Andrew | Stalking the Perfect Sunset

A wedding where the couple leaves dinner to go hang with a field of lambs and watch the sunset with a couple'a cows is my kind of wedding!

These two are all about adventure—not even their wedding day could stop them.

Around half of their vows centered on their favorite adventures they’d taken together and adventures they’ve yet to even plan. And one of their favorite things is catching a great sunset. This is how I knew they were my kind of people. I grew up with that ethos in Colorado—a good spot to watch a sunset is totally worth that extra mile and a half around the cliff and up the hill!

Their friends and family are hilarious, brilliant, loving, and super supportive. Their dance floor was rockin. Their venue was perfect. And their night ended with s’mores at a bonfire.

They nailed it.

Maciel & Baruch | Hell No to Hell Yes!

Maciel & Baruch | Hell No to Hell Yes!

A few years ago, when her brother tried to set her up with someone, Maciel’s immediate response was, “Hell No!”

Luckily that someone was Baruch, who ended up reaching out, and luckily he’s got some serious texting game! Last month at their ceremony, when asked if she’d take Baruch as her husband, she paused for a second because she knew she was about to bring down the house, and said, “HELL YES!”

Really had a lot of fun with these two, and felt like their families immediate took me in as one of their own for the day—they’re just so wrapped in love by the people around them.

And talk about a chill bride! Their original venue pulled out a few months out from their wedding, and instead of freaking out, they were just like, “Oh well I guess we’ll just find an even better more beautiful venue with basically no notice.” And they pulled it off like it was nothing.

Look at these rock stars!

Caitlin & Dillon - With Every Bone in My Body

Caitlin & Dillon - With Every Bone in My Body

Since shooting Caitlin and Dillon's wedding, I have started to regularly tell my close friends that I love them. It's a thing I've felt but hadn't tended to put words to until I saw this couple's community just overflowing with love.

After walking down the isle, Dillon greeted each groomsman with a hug and an, "I love you, buddy. Thanks for being here." No hesitation: "Love you too, man. This is awesome."

And they're not just throwing the term around! Every guest at their wedding was there to 100% support and love these two. It was palpable in every hug I saw, every toast we heard, every conversation I had with a family member or friend. It's more than camaraderie -- it's a deep sense of being on the same team and sincerely wishing them the best (and putting in the work to ensure it) with every bone in their body.

I'd never left a wedding with the desire to make sure those I love know it. But here I am tearing up a bit just remembering some of the love-filled moments from Caitlin and Dillon's wedding.

I loved shooting this wedding. I loved editing it and reliving bits of it. And, friends and family, I love you guys. And I want you to know it.

And see for yourself the overflow of love at their reception:

Julianne & Demian | They Wanted Snow - They Got Snow!

Julianne & Demian | They Wanted Snow - They Got Snow!

90% of our pre-wedding discussions were just repeatedly and excitedly hoping it would snow on Feb 24th. "I hope it snooows!" "Me tooo!" "Is it gonna snooooow?" "Hope sooooo!" Jullianne's Snow Queen dress gave me hope that we'd manifest some flakes. Forecast was lookin good...

Whatever snow dances or animal sacrifices she did worked! And the timing couldn't have been better. It really started coming down after the ceremony, right in time for us to steal away Juli and Dem for some killer show shots. Even this Colorado snow-snob was impressed by this storm.

And these folks can really throw a dance party! No idea how so many people danced so hard right up until the sparkler exit.

Beautiful newlywed couple. Beautiful winter storm. Beautiful part of the world. What more could a wedding shooter want!?

Katie & Caryn | High Elevation Elopement

For their first date two years ago, Katie picked up Caryn in Vail, and they drove an hour on a narrow, winding alpine road, to a pristine mountain-top lake, nestled in a perfect little valley 9,350 ft. above the rest of us.

754 days later (yes, Katie counted!), they got married in that exact spot. And day 755 TOTALLY NAILED IT!

Wedding Highlight Video

I was reminded of two lessons up there in the mountains-- 1) It's very difficult to wipe away one's tears while holding a camera, and 2) There's nothing more important than making deliberate, personalized choices for your wedding day.

Every detail was so thoroughly KATIE AND CARYN. From the location to the vows to the custom-ordered cupcakes and mid-afternoon nap. These personal details underscore the depth of your connection and commitment--and ensure that I will be a crying mess while putting the finishing touches on your wedding video.
